IMO waste of money! Rather get a 8800GTS 320 or even a 2900Pro! thats all you'll need only reason youll want a 8800Oeltra! is for playing games on 30" LCD's 
As for FPS ~30+ there is no difference in most games, and it all depends on the game yoy are playing and on yourdelf!
Very few, games support SLI/Crossfire yet, and I dout they will in the very near future

I don't think you could be further from the truth :/ SLI profiles exist for almost every AAA or even A titles since 2005 when SLI was introduced.
