Why antivirus programs have become the problem, not the solution

Oh, no... Better to get a virus than a malware and corrupting itself Windows 10. If you decide to stay with Windows 7, you can't enable automatic updates, as you will receive new 'telemetry' spying software and forced update to Windows 10. In other words keeping Windows up to date is not a viable option these days.

I've always win updates as the source of a. excess data usage and b. problems. Stopped updates donkey's years ago and my system is stable and never gives me ****, unlike my mother who religiously updates and is forever calling and saying 'help I got xyz error message now what do I?" and when I look it up (because I'm not that clued up and thank godness for google) the cause is always a freeking windows update.

You just need a properly configured firewall, MSE, and some common sense. Everything else is just bloat, especially on coorporate networks where AVs are the cause of most problems...

lalalala what does a normal user do then? in english. in layman's terms. because not one word of that made any sense.
Actually it makes lot of sense except things I pointed out, but Microsoft mole react nervously, his bosses do not like any kind of criticism. [wearing tinfoil hat]

Education is the most important thing, and trying to minimize external storage usage with other 'uneducated' people. Once I had to get a section of an assignment from a group member and most of the files were .exe when they originally were, "Rihanna ft Black rapper - **** song name.mp3"

Probably a result from all the porn that was on the stick.

lol settle down, it was not a challenge of any sorts. why do you assume i want to hack your system? hahaha. nerds!

and btw, by default the admin account used to install with on a windows pc is locked, it has certain rights, just like the system account and network and and and. the user does have an admin account when starting up for the first time called "USER*", but its not the one locked by default, called "administrator". i remember them saying things like that behind their reasoning. was many years ago.
