Tin foil man ? Do you even listen to yourself ? Because someone calls you a racist he's a conspiracy theorist ? If you're going to go around saying things like "bloody agents" whenever something bad happens in this country people are going to make assumptions about you. Not any of your comments on their own may be racist but taken as a whole and given the context and bias you obviously have to say the things you say I don't blame anyone for thinking you are a racist. I'm not accusing you of saying anything racist, but when asked to second guess your feeling towards black people I'm highly suspicious that you don't have the greatest respect for them. But then that's just because you seem to have nothing good to say about a black government that has done good things as well as bad things. But you seem to be biased towards focussing on the bad. That given our history as a country do you really think people won't question what really drives your behaviour Mila ?

Anyway I don't want a personal war here and god knows I do not want to get into a racial debate of any kind. Boring. Go about your business and I'll go about mine from here.

No, from what I can see you've made 1 or two "positive " posts. And they both reeked of histrionics and tokenism. The biggest contributer to less than expected people coming to our world cup was scaremongers like you Mila by the way.

I hate any kind of corruption or criminal behaviour. No colour exclusion. Make it a race thing if it makes you feel better.

Sorry to derail the thread but were you 'paid' to be a volunteer at the soccer? Don't need to know amount but there seems to be some correlation between the amount of $190 and the R1500 security guards were expecting. Seems that someone may have paid the dollar amount in rands and 'saved' the rest.

Thoughts?

Yeah, this "subtle" insulting is a rather frequent and aggravating occurrence. If I can't call someone an idiot to their face then why should they be able to subtley insinuate as much in response?

Yeah well. I'm just saying I'm dropping it from my side. It's out my system. If she wants to insult me or anyone else wants to insult me go ahead. I won't report you or support you getting banned. I'm abive that. I can win arguments with ideas and facts I don't need to censor people by banning them.

Those who deserve it must have the ban hammer fall on them. There's a known troll here named DeadCore... if you are going to lobby then do so fairly not only those you disagree with. In fact DreamKing too tends to only troll and doesn't add anything to threads.

Seeing as you are smurfing are you surprised that you are fair game - surely if you sat out your ban you'd get some respect?

Is a crowd of over 83 000 on a working day a good or bad thing?

As a volunteer we were initially under the impression that it would be purely voluntary. It was then decided that we would get a R100 stipend for each day worked and meals provided. So yeah, we are not paid! ;)

The security guys are a separate issue as they are not volunteers but paid staff. It is apparently a private security firm that was called in to provide security. I cannot comment on what they are saying was promised but in the excerpts of interviews they all seem to be quoting different amounts and hours. The amount would never have been in dollars though as it would have been arranged by the local organising committee.
