Typical African behaviour. I believe our esteemed minister already tried that one. Not "how can we make this whole situation better for everyone", rather "if you don't like it leave". I believe the farmes in Zim did that, look who got the last laugh though. Pity it had to be so tragic and drastic for Zim to realise the need those white farmers who, despite whatever historical reasons, were the only ones in the country who knew and could teach farming. Keep you attitude, its all you're going to have left if everything falls apart.

In the new SA the typical situation is that an AA person gets promoted over a highly qualified white, who is then expected to do all the work while the AA manager gets the credit, and to train the AA manager to (maybe one day ???) do the work.

I know two guys with doctorates in electronics who ended up in this scenario. Both emigrated, one to the USA, and one to Canada. They were snapped up because of their published work and reputations, and are both doing very well in their new countries. Both of them were young, highly qualified, and very good, and would probably have stayed in SA but for AA. I could quote other examples.

I assume that the lonely AA managers are just blundering along ....

From what I've been reading it would seem to me (read assumption here) that talentdone is sitting with sour grapes because he has a white boss and thinks he should have their position because of his skin colour, but hasn't been given the job because he actually doesn't have the "talent" to do it, and would rather all the whites leave because he thinks then he can do better and get richer. (sounds like rasicm to me though)

Some people dont understand that not everyone gets things handed to them on a silver platter and actually have to work for what they want.

The reason I have only partipated in mostly race related issues here was because it was the first thing I saw when I was surfing this forum. I found it hilarious that a bunch of whites have created a comfort zone in cyberspace where they can drum the racists ideology back and forth amongst each other and actually fool each other into thinking they are right. The problem with whites is their fear of what lies ahead in the future. All stats point toward whites trying to get around AA. I can see a serious backlash from not just Govt but black professionals as well. Whites in this forum seem to think all whites are smarter than black excepts one has only to read their posts to see the contrary. There are many up and coming intelligent blacks soon the ranks will swell up and whites who are not willing to accomodate that will have to ship out.

As for Zim the black folks there were fustrated at continuing white discrimination and decided it was better everyone suffers rether than them alone. Frankly only way to knock sense into some whites here is for them to fill the other shoe and see if they like it. AA is far too soft, hope whoever becomes president after Mbeki pushes for something more solid.
