Why does mybb allow content service ads?

I haven't seen those before. On that note, I also haven't seen the forex scam ads either, so good work...

they aren't scams
plenty of people make lots and lots of money
if you know what you are doing you can earn risk free high incomes and get unicorns for your villa in Paraguay

oh my, now i know where this whatsapp advert was coming from. also saw a whatsapp ad, but wansnt sure where it came from. so mybb is now serving spam oh my

Did you read the replies in this thread? I think your browser is serving you spam. Not Mybb.
 
I must apologise to the forum admin. Finally found the problem. There was an extension active in Chrome, can't remember the exact name, something like "website recommendations." As soon as I disabled that the content service ads were gone.

Knowing how sharp some of you are the next post will probably ask what sites have I been visiting? :D ;)

ROFL, none to that effect. This nonsense started somehow during my investigations into content services. Some of them were pornographic ones so Google took the liberty to place banner ads for them on virtually every site I visited.

Good riddance.
