Why does Telkom have to be this useless?

Still not fixed, if they don't get it sorted out tomorrow I'm going to call the call center and I will make that agent cry or even quit his job. I just cannot wait any longer.

It's all about motivation and dedication, if you aren't motivated to do your job just quit, because you sure as hell aren't doing the end customer any favours. Telkom technicians aren't motivated at all and they don't care, I told the technician "please don't forget about me as this is very important". He said he won't.


Let's see if he rocks up tomorrow.

It's all about whether he gets dispatched to attend to your fault or not. nothing else. He may not deviate off his route per the dispatcher's instructions.

I know, but it's been escalated twice, surely it doesn't take a month to get someone dispatched if it's been escalated.


Also the techie who came to my house on Tuesday lied to my face and that's what pissed me off.
 
Having sort of the saame issue. Logged a call with Telkom and they don't get someone to come and fix my line. It's been syncing at 1.4mb and I'm on 10mb/s line. I tried everything from my side with Nothing being done. When I call Telkom they said tech is assigned then I call 1hr later just to be told no tech has been assigned. So then I get a sms state my line is testing just fine but on my router the max I can get is 1.7mb/s. To make things worse I tested with different router and by only having 1 cable going to the router with no Telephones connected.


Now telkom responded to my twitter message stating the following

Good day, since the upgrades to the website, there are still some unresolved glitches , mainly the usage tracker tool , dsl checker , and some others, sys admin hasn't fixed the scripting issue as yet , kind regards ^GC

What does that have to do with my line LOL. It's like they don't know what the heck they doing
 
Just got back from the exchange now, the security guard was friendly and told me the OM doesn't work on weekends so I must come on Monday.

But he did say I could wait for a techie to come back from a job, so I waited in my car for 3 hours and the car was in the sun, I said to myself I'll come back on Monday.
 
I feel your pain, been going on 4 Days without Internet and not even a techie out to check

Me too :) I phoned the call center this morning to get them to lower my sync speed and the guy flat out refused

Went to Twitter and done in 30 min



Apparently they used to be able to change line speeds and do port resets but now they escalate it to technicians.
And then they never seem to call you anyways. You just receive an sms saying CRK or whatever closed
 
Fault has been assigned to tech however no ETA due to high workload in the area...
 
I logged a fault last week Friday with Telkom well they noticed the fault on my line and logged it for me even though i knew the fault had to be on there side after i did every possible test to cancel my side as the problem out! so i was phoning them everyday so far this week and was promised everyday that a technician has my problem in his "bucket list" in there words (if i am correct a bucket list is for things you want to do before you die) anyway after all that i was told to go to there facebook page and twitter i got responses on both that they will investigate and provide me with feedback! after reading everyone's responses my hopes are slowly but surely dropping does anyone have any more advice on where or who i can contact so that a Technician can be sent to me and fix my problem?

Ive been having intermittent connection issues for 3 months and now completely dead connection voice&adsl for 3 weeks already...
 
They actually call it in the techs bucket when a job has been assigned to a tech .
When it is in the bucket he can assign it to cables or waiting for spares or just do the job etc.
Who ever told you a bucket list really is stupid .
Heaven knows why they called it a bucket but yes , it is what it is .
