That is fine.If you read the article and understand it, you would understand. Even your a'la carte menu items is bundled with something to increase the price and value, even if you did not want it. You cannot walk into Spur and say you just want to pay for the Steak and not the chips and onion rings.
But what Multichoice is forcing people to do, is not only buy the Steak and Chips, they have to buy 2 burgers, Nachos, what passes for salads and dessert as well, when they only wanted Steak and Chips. And then Multichoice complains that people would rather just not buy the whole thing. It isn't good value for money to bundle in lots of things people don't want.
Their argument might apply to other channels, but there is no reason why they cannot provide a sports only bundle, because they own the company that produces most of the content. And even more so, they should have a pay per view and season passes for sport. South Africans would lap that stuff up.
Right now their model is failing. Multichoice is haemorrhaging money.
