I have 3 inverters in my home. All of them measure very high voltages from 240v to 258v every day. Is such high voltage not bad for your appliances. My 12v transformers keep blowing. Could this be the cause?

Yeah when I had mine the highest I'd see it go was 245, but generally from 220 to 240 was where it hovered.Wow that is high, have the same inverter and mine is constantly between 238-240v. Highest I've ever seen mine go was 243v

They aren't the smartest inverters, my Eccos would keep the voltage at 220 to 240 no problems, but the mecer would pretty much feed through whatever Eskom feeds. They should have AVR, above normal input should still be 220-240 output.
My other inverter is a RCT UPS. I have set that one to drop the voltage to 230v whenever Eskom's power goes above 250v. Problem is that it spins the fan when it drops the power and since this ups is in my room, I have this spinning fan all night. Should I inform our municipality about this high voltage because it's not only me' it's our whole neighbourhood. They aren't the smartest inverters, my Eccos would keep the voltage at 220 to 240 no problems, but the mecer would pretty much feed through whatever Eskom feeds.
you could try logging the ticket with the muncipality yeah.My other inverter is a RCT UPS. I have set that one to drop the voltage to 230v whenever Eskom's power goes above 250v. Thank you for the info. I was just worried that my fridge of tv might blow up because of this high voltage. Those voltages are all perfectly within the regulations
Declared LV phase to neutral 230 V +/- 15%
Min : 200 V
Max: 264 V
Yup but instead of 230, most only ever hit 220.Those voltages are all perfectly within the regulations

You have to log a call with the muni. Also getting high voltages - highest I've seen today is a constant 252V on the Gizzu protector plug.
Is this something addressed on a household basis or as a local community? Electrician I spoke to reckons certain cause for concern.
HehYou have to log a call with the muni.
Mine used to go up to 270.
Turns out there was a tree root that dug into an electric cable next to the road.
If neutral is missing, it will be closer to 380VIt can be that there is a neutral missing on the mini-sub. Suggest you get an electrician to do a loop installation test.
