Why is there no Wii thread? No fans here?

I've also just finished mine :)

I'm using an elements external drive I bought from Makro.
Works like a charm.

Glad to hear it. I've been playing a few of the n64 vc games today for an hour or so. Love having the mod.

Ok, so basically if I buy a WD Passport drive, it will work? I just don't want to spend a couple of hundred rand and then finding out it doesn't work.

here is a link to the full compatability list from gbatemp. Just find the drive you want. the 80gb passport doesn't work, but the others largers ones all seem to be good.

Does anyone here use online multiplayer? I have tried a number of times and it never works. Way too slow and I am on a 512 line with telkom. Should be enough to work.

Yup. The Wii is definitely not the solution for a serious gamer, but it's great for party type games when you have friends over.

Thought these kinda posts would stop after that post RPM made, guess the trolls will always be there to give their unconstructive input.

On topic..
We got a Wii but I'm not a huge fan though and not really following what games there are for it. What would you recommend, especially for 2 or more player gaming?

Depends on what you like, but Mario kart seems to always be the crowd favorite, though now when we have friends over, most people want to play Boom blox bash party. Number 3 would probably be ghost squad for those that like shooters, and we have had a lot of fun with rayman raving rabids. My wife's favorite game of all is Dancing with the stars. I think it is a little cheesy, but it is addicting for a rhythm game. All of those are 4 player games except for the last one.

Mario Kart is one of the better options...then there is also Wii sports 2...
I had a wii, just didnt find it useful past Zelda...especially when E3 arrived and Nintendo released Wii Sports Island...:rolleyes:

They always have in store specials...
I saw a 1 terrabyte drive on special with them for R1300 a couple of days a go.
now if only I didn't buy the 500gig .. I paid around R850 for that one. would rather have paid extra and gotten the big one.

You can always sell the 500gig to me and buy the bigger one? ;)

You lot are biased... you should apreciate the different things each platform brings.

I have most platforms, and each one brings something cool... well, except maybe the 360... suppose there is Gears... I love my PS3 most of all tho (next to my pc), but the rest of the family definitely get more enjoyment out of the Wii than anything else.
