Why is there so much hate on this forum.

Newbies will say silly things. They will not listen to your reasoned advice. This the rule on the internet.

Why waste time bashing them. Some of the comments are just personal attacks.

It just makes the forum less inviting.
 
Need to get the post count up some way and doing it in BusinessTech or Afrihost threads is counter productive in the long term.
 
The reality is that MYBB has become a money making site where where it is stated trusted in tech, well i have found numerous articles that are wrong then you are NOT allowed to bash or criticize what is wrong or else you will be banned, I find this absolutely obserd, where there is actually one way communication and if they the writers get it wrong you cannot even say, Just reminds me about communism where you are simply told and informed, really to get real tech news head on over to Twit, and really the stupid articles about the fastest Internet speeds at Universities, Like really what is that all about, The way i see it there needs to be a competitor that will actually give accurate Tech news Not absolute rubbish and sometimes inaccurate information...
 
From what i read in many of the threads, a lot of the hate between members comes down to:

1. The people who think the country is fked beyond repair vs the others
2. Members who are perceived as racist vs those who are "not"
3. SJW, snowflakes, whatever random group you fall into

Once you have been placed in one of those brackets it seems that no matter where you post (e.g a PC Hardware thread), there will be hate towards that member and it just culminates.

Agree.

You did leave one category out though:
4. Bat***** crazy conspiracy theorists who are allowed a platform for their bigotry on the forum.
 
U also find that people here are generally very defensive or juat want to think that they're right, most of the time
 
It's the BMW drivers.

Haha seriously though, a lot of the time it's people joking about things. I like that about the forum. It's entertaining.

Which is so childish, you disagree in the news section but the is really no need to be dragging your beef all over that place.
 
I had to admit to myself that when I visit & use MyBB, the users here are a tiny (yes, we all know size matters) sample of of actual tech users in Mzansi.

So, the opinions here are as such. Representative of a small group.

Once I did that, I could distance myself easier from what was being shared here and increase my life expectancy.

By default, I am included!
