Pretty much, I have algorithms for everything.
Sometimes they work, sometimes they spectacularly fail.
Whoa now see you just can't do this with humour, or human interaction in general. Humour is the most mysterious and intuitive aspect of social dialogue. If you try to 'get it' with algorithms that 'should have worked', you'll end up crossing an uncanny valley where people can just tell that you're trying too hard. It's a lot about delivery - a bad joke can seem funny if it's delivered by someone with good comic sense. A good joke can hit the ground like a dead weight if the timing is off.
Look, take it or don't take it but your friends might be quite happy to accept that you just don't have a discernible trace of humour.
