Because it is a troll piece you posted written by a troll posted by one.

If you want to post opinion pieces post in off topic. This is news and current affairs. Nothing in your troll piece is news or current affairs.

Is it so hard or should I type slower?

We never said you are a stupid idiot we said the writer and bob supporters is stupid idiots. And since you don't have an opinion you can't be offended.. or did you write the original drivel? is that why you took offence?

you did not once answer any questions regarding the topic and you have not contributed once.

Mods please close this or move it to off topic.

I reported the bad posts as that's what you are always preaching as mods ("Don't let threads deteriorate, report bad posts").

1. Why is posting a thread trolling? How do you determine that? Does your (personal) opinion of the topic influence this?
2. Are bad posts unacceptable full stop or acceptable provided the bad posters and you as a mod in this case (subjectively) label the thread trolling?
3. Should bad posts be ignored if they are deserved (as you referred to it)?
4. If there's fighting/bad posts in a thread should we a) ignore them b) report them c) fight mud with mud?

I'm asking you very basic moderation questions that are applicable to every thread. It will be easier for you if you respond as someone who is neutral on Mugabe.

1.) You are baiting, you post rubbish clearly aimed at eliciting an emotional response (read trolling), dont debate the topic and cry when you get the emotional response you wanted in the first place.
2.) See previous point on emotional responses.
3.) See point 2
4.) d) drop the trollbait and try debating for a change (you seem to be more interested in debating with the mods than the merits of your trollbait/thread)

This is correct.

Note however that your trolling is what gave rise to those RBPs in the first place.

Trolling comes in many different forms some are subtle others not so much. Simplified definition would be posting a contentious issue in a group where the discussion on that topic is pretty much guaranteed to elicit an emotional response. As I and countless other have also pointed out to you: You have offered no input whatsoever to steer the discussion into a constructive debate.

2. Are bad posts unacceptable full stop or acceptable provided the bad posters and you as a mod in this case (subjectively) label the thread trolling?
No they are not, but I have no sympathy for someone when they provoked that response.

3. Should bad posts be ignored if they are deserved (as you referred to it)?
No

4. If there's fighting/bad posts in a thread should we a) ignore them b) report them c) fight mud with mud?
Report them.

And I've answered them countless times, but you don't seem to get it.

What Mugabe does, doesn't really affect me directly, but it would be a hard task to find anyone with a completely neutral view on any public figure.

What does affect me directly is people trolling and then wasting my time by abusing the RBP system when the chickens come home to roost and then having to keep explaining myself over and over.

Nothing really more to say here that hasn't been said. Next time you want to post a contentious opinion piece you better have an opening argument with your points of debate. Bring that to the table and I'll happily deal with the bad posts. Keep dropping bait and running and we'll see where that gets you...

This thread is now closed.
