Why, only when it rains?

I had an ADSL line for a while but cancelled it as every time it rained (even a minor spatter) the line would drop. Telkom said "this happens" and was not really prepared to do anything about it :(
Anyway, I then decided to go for 8ta wireless, and my MiFi and I got on really well with only the occasional hiccup.
However, I now see that when it rains... I have the same problem... how can this be? It rains, no connection, it stops, connection returns.

Water running down the transmitter in the tower

You should report the line as being noisy when it rains and not take that bs excuse. Nag and nag until they come. Worked for me, Took about 3 months
