Why people don't follow road rules

Good afternoon

Why do some people feel because they being driving for years, they can do whatever they want on the road. Just right now I got to a 4 way stop me and this other car arrived, at the same time but different direction then both of us we are turning into the same direction. Then the Toyota quest came behind the other I gave the first car the sign that it can turn, I will follow after, just after it turn it's me who suppose to turn. The guy in the Toyota quest make a turn he didn't even use his indicator I stopped in the middle to let him turn.

After that I followed him lucky we were going to the same place, when we got to our destination I got out the car went to him. I asked him why he did that he said why did I let the other car go first, I said because we arrived at the same time. I said you didn't even use indicator he simply told me his been driving for 15 years I just left him. I saw it was pointless to argue with him. But I could see his embarrassed but he does not want to to admit his wrong.

Other thing I have observed people get irritated when you complete stop at the stop sign. If it's a two lane they change to other lane, so they can jump the next stop sign. I think after my traffic fine for yielding at the stop sign I have learned my lesson. Soon they will learn their lesson too. Just get irritated by people who don't use their indicates.
 
No comment even if I had the L sign he would not have seen it, because he was coming from other direction. What really piss me off is he didn't use his indicator. At least if he did it was going to be better but still he had to wait.
 
Pfft, here in England most four-way stops have traffic circles instead ("roundabouts" in local speak). At first I thought it was nuts, but it's actually surprisingly efficient - mainly because everyone only has to follow one rule: yield to the right. No confusion. No fights. I guess it also works because the English love a good queue.

Nobody in South Africa understands the simple concept of yield to the right. They all have different views of the rules of circles. Sometimes its a 4 way stop, sometimes a circle sometimes just a nuisance. To others it depends on the colour, shape, size or if there is a tree in the middle of the circle what they will do. Basically the attitude towards circles are chaotic just as it is governed.

People follow road rules. SOME people don't. As you get used to driving you will one day start driving 80 in a 60 zone. Why are you breaking the road rules? You still have a "long way" to drive and it is not worth getting worked up so easily.

People who get easily angered, especially road rage, is just as dangerous as those who don't follow the rules.

It doesn't depend on size to others, it depends on size according to the law.

Just love how that taxi jumped the red robot just feel sorry for the people inside the taxi. Taxi drivers have their own road rules I have noticed that they also don't like to stop complete at stop sign.

I stay in a township I just love it when a taxi driver stand in the road, blocking other cars at the back waiting for a passenger. To him the is nothing wrong with that.

It is either low IQ or sociopathy. As it is either the inability to deduce the negative consequences of their own behavior or it is a don't give a f**k attitude. Either way it is a reflection and stark reminder of how many dysfunctional people are around you.

Nothing you can do about it :) And it will never be resolved without higher standards and better law enforcement. Sadly neither of these ideals are doing very well in SA and many parts around the world. Best thing you can do is just not let it get to you at all and don't give in and follow their behavior.
