Who else had issues with Samsung's support and from there decided it was enough - never any Samsung again?

Like the S8 screen issues they first denied.

I have never had a Samsung product fail on me, therefore no need to deal with support.. galaxy S3 mini lasted 4 years before being confined to a cupboard.. monitor still working fine after 8 years of continuous use.. 50inch TV still fine after 7 years continuous use and my latest TV also still fine but, that's only going on one year old now..

Samsung devices are officially my longest-lasting ... washing machine and TV pulling 10 years, and still got somebody using my old Samsung Galaxy S6 and happy with it (even though the battery life is terrible by now).

Compared to others, including customer service, they definitely better than others.

My Samsung VCR I bought brand new in 1996 was rock solid and I donated it to someone here on the forum last week.
My Samsung washing machine is now 15 years old and I have only replaced the water outlet pipe about 8 years ago

Samsung product has been pretty solid for me.

Once had issue with a dryer but service call went super-smooth, zero hassle.

Think its only the new Samsung washing machines that need to be recalled due to catching fire.

Overall I find Samsung a good brand but lately they've had a number of QC issues

This. Some of my best products ever have been Samsung.

Although I am pissed off with them for sending the inferior S20 to South Africa
Yeah I specifically got the S20+ only to find out it's not 5G enabled.

Had a Note 4 many moons ago. Got out to meet a customer on the side of the road so he could lead the way to some smelter in the area. Forgot the Note 4 on the roof of the car, it fell off as I drove and then a truck drove over it.

Turned around and picked it up. It rang, I could answer calls and talk etc, but the screen was totally wasted and cracked.

Not one of my other Samsung phones over the years has broken to this day, not even so much as a chip or crack on any of the screens.

Can't comment on their cellular devices but their appliances are really good imo.
- Fridge/Freezer (side-by-side) going strong for 10 years
- Four air cons (non inverter) going strong for 8 years
- Plasma and LED tv's going strong for 10 years
and counting....
