Why so much rage ?

KEEP LEFT
PASS RIGHT

What is so difficult to understand about this????

If I only had 3 brain cells I suppose this would totally confuse me.

Problem is the trucks taking up 2 lanes. Nobody drives in the leftmost lane anymore.

There should at least be one right line left for those who pass right. Unless you go to Pietermaritzburg. Then all the cars drive on the right ,because the other three are hogged by trucks.

I follow the speed limit cos the speed limit signs with cameras makes me paranoid. Cape Town is hectic with those signs.

I frequently get impatient idiots abruptly flash lights and overtake me. Only for said idiot to be racing to a red traffic light with me a few metres behind.

Maybe if you didn't hold them up, they wouldn't have gotten stuck at the robot.

Move left as you're required to. It's not your monitor the speed of other people...

Must be a Joburg thing. Here were I am people are very relaxed and tolerant, whether I am on my bicycle or in the car. I give gaps to people and vice-versa, just chill out and relax.

What's this move over to the left numptiness? Bikers keep on bragging how being a biker allows them to lanesplit and thus get through traffic quicker. Sweet.

But don't expect me to keep an eye out for you so I can move out of your way. ;)

Move over to the left is aimed at chefdude98. He hogs the fast lane;

For some unknown reason he can't grasp the simple rule of keep left, pass right.

I think though that someone posted something where we supposed to move over as far as possible to the left to enable bikers to pass in sheer bliss and majesty? :)

That was me, and I still stand by that. Why wouldn't you want to let a bike pass safely past you? All it takes is a tiny hand movement on your steering wheel.

Not ashamed to admit it, but I overtook 4 cars this morning in on go on the R44 - on the left. OK, I was above the limit, but they should have kept left.

Relax, I'm just taking the piss :).

Seriously though, while I don't begrudge bikers their lane splitting, I am not going to keep an eagle eye out for them so I can move to the left. Unless I'm changing lanes, or doing the occasional rear view mirror check, I'm not aware of bikers until they are already passing me.

Thanks for the advice. I will try not to run over cyclists and joggers while i am "keeping to the left" for the impatient ******* behind me. There is only 1 lane on this specific road.

Stellenbosch is kinda a retirement village to be fair.

Flash and hoot at the cyclists and joggers, the same way that you're being flashed and hooted at...

I should have clarified. I keep left on a freeway, that is common sense. This happens to me on a road with a 70km speed limit and there is only 1 lane available.

lol ya - no but seriously - bikers are very agro...i always look out for them and always give them space, but this oke - eish.
