Why the ANC could lose Gauteng

New data shows that public disapproval ratings for the ANC has increased significantly since 2011 under president Jacob Zuma, with particular concern in Gauteng.

IMO the Sheeple will always vote ANC. At best they will not vote, but will never vote for anyone else.

As long as the ANC's trickle up poverty policies (aka socialistic big government nonsense) are implemented and a strong middle class does not emerge, Gauteng will sadly remain an ANC province.

This is the reason the country is failing. Numbers are far too high. Seems no matter how much JZ & Co loot and destroy, the young still approve, and others who don't will vote for them anyway

As awesome as it sounds that the ANC could fall, we all know what lies in store.

There will always be voting along racial lines and the DA is not black enough to garner the vote.

That just leaves good ol Juju.

This is what I always said would happen. As the old generation dies off they will lose support and without the old generation there's nobody to influence a "traditional" ANC vote in the young generation.

During the last elections the pre voting polls showed that the DA would have taken the province. Thats why there was a last minute shake up where they did a lot of campaigning and convinced the apathetic voters that the DA would bring back apartheid.

I don't think it will happen like that again. Also they have the EFF to contend with now.

I don't think they pulled a +23% gain out of the hat with campaigning so I'm a little sceptic about whatever pre voting poll you saw.

Things will NEVER change in SA. If the ANC does not win they will form a coalition with the likes of the EFF etc just to retain power. Thing is these people have nothing else they can do, they have no skills and are not employable in the private sector. They are parasites. The general populous have no issue with this, it's similar to a chieftain system where the peasants believe the chief has earned his status and wealth.

Why is it that people think SA is somehow special compared to the rest of Africa? Democracy has never worked in Africa, just look at the history of Africa pre & post colonialism. And for those that go but but just look at the two countries that were never colonised, they are probably the worst out of the lot.
