Buuuut I think I'll stick to my 120fps @ 1440 for now

I would disagree. Sure there are the occasional PC or console game that might look a bit better than the others, but for the most part the graphics of these systems are good enough not to notice.

As for paying for online services.
I get quite a lot of value from PS+ in terms of free games, so I don't really mind it.

What is more hilarious is that I can play excellent AAA games on my console which you can't, and I can play the rest on my gaming PC if I want.
Idiocy is a terrible disease.
