Yup, I think it’s all about the clicks, and he couldn’t care less if people make bad decisions due to his advice.Maybe this muppet is doing this on purpose , ie to get more clicks for his videos hence more money.Maybe he wants to discourage newbies from getting into the industry , so there is less competition for jobs.
I got to that yt looking at logic 915 keyboards and glossing over his video on the keyboard and wrist pad.My take away from that video is that the guy’s a bit of an idiot.
Also a job hopper according to LinkedIn. Also, he is almost certainly using “Tech Lead” for his title at Google since his official title was probably not that great (probably “senior software engineer”).
And a scammer and misogynist according to Wikipedia.

It’s not for everyone, but if one has the right attitude and makes the right decisions, they can effectively set themselves up to be paid very well for having fun.I agree completely. There is no glamour to programming, and with automation, the need for programmers is becoming less. You need something more than just being a good programmer to be truly successful.
It is exactly like he said, you have to be a nerd to do this, and just writing code is for juniors. It’s not for everyone, but if one has the right attitude and makes the right decisions, they can effectively set themselves up to be paid very well for having fun.
It’s a bit of a straw man. Nobody just writes code. They need to understand their requirements, create/design algorithms, and interact with people to write the necessary code. I know several very senior developers who write code and develop algorithms 80+% of their time.It is exactly like he said, you have to be a nerd to do this, and just writing code is for juniors.
That stuff is becoming easier to do. Opportunity comes with new technology and entrepreneurship, not with writing code. It’s a bit of a straw man. Nobody just writes code. If by nerd, he means smart, well sure. For the negative connotations of the word, that’s just bollocks.
Why? He seems like a nice guy and is talking sense. Why hate on nerds? What an arrogant prick.
I never got that idea. The heading is a bit dramatic but he made complete sense explaining it.He is sarcastic and passive aggressive.
Watch the video again. It is there, at least 3-4 timesWhy? He seems like a nice guy and is talking sense. Why hate on nerds?
He actually did okay for himself as a coder. He had a public fallout with Facebook over his YouTube channel, and that’s the reason he is finding it so hard to find new employment.Couldn't make it as a coder. Got angry. Nobody should be a coder. Alrighty then.
