Nice. Hope Vodacom and Telkom does the same soon. Why is WiFi calling not available as a default feature on all android phones?
A sip option was available on some, but phone carriers rule the roost.....so was hardly put on use. The sip account still had to be manually configured though
How is one charged for Wi-Fi calls vs normal calls? surely Wi-Fi calls should be cheaper.
Lets say Vodacom or Telkom enables this feature, but you are using a Meizu or Xiaomi for example which Vodacom or Telkom "officially" does not support. Can you enable it manually on the phone to get the wifi calling feature? Sorry, I dont know what you mean by sip?
Depends how they implement it. Most of the wifi calling needs a carrier specific handset with a customized ROM on it, as their wifi calling has hooks in the base OS. So the phone would only work on that network (i.e. TMobile etc).

can i not just install an app on my phone and use it?
why do i need to wait for them to make it available on my phone?
I understand none of this
What I know has been overtaken by technology and now I know nothing about all these techno-thingies.
/jumps off cliff
Because it is network feature, not just a phone feature?
I am on the cell c network....will i be able to make wifi calls tomorrow , with my Chinese phone (Iocean X9)?
