We have a new neighbour that moved in two weeks ago and he promptly went on holiday.
Since their Wi-Fi signal became present it seems this interferes with all kinds of devices such as remotes for cars, alarms etc within range of this signal. Cannot lock cars and even have difficulty connecting our own Wi-Fi devices.
How can I check if his signal or Wi-Fi device is the culprit?

you can get wifi signal detection apps. so you can just download one onto your phone and then test.

you probably will find that with all your wireless devices and all his wireless devices that your 2.4GHz range is quite congested. For your router you may have to look at getting a dual band router that does both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidth. You can then just move out of the 2.4GHz range and your interference should be gone on your wifi network at home.

unfortunately it wont do much to help your alarm or remotes

Download something like Wi-Fi Analyzer on your phone and see what channel his Wi-Fi is and just move your to another channel and it won't interfere with your central locking as your remote will more than likely be something like 433 MHz and Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.
