I agree that the whole argument of "Its your job to secure your router" is lame. I shouldn't have to secure my router, much the same way as I shouldn't need a 5M high wall with electric fencing around my house. The thieves are the wrong ones, not the guys who don't set up defence. Unfortunately that's an ideal though, and there ARE guys who will steal given the opportunity (I'm a casual wardriver myself in fact) - so if you dont want to see your cap disappear, or your pay-as-you-go 3G hit a R10'000 bill, secure your router just to be safe. Ideally we'd be living in a world where usage is uncapped, and we can all happily leave our routers open for passers-by to use sparingly, if they need. Oh wait, that world already does exist *cough* during my stay in the USA there was free wifi everywhere, and their dsl is uncapped *cough* - but our lame country is of course still an exception! :/
