You can do a channel scan and this will show which channels have activity on them. This can give you an indication of which channel to use.
You will not be able to search for wireless networks that are in range. For this you would have to use an application on your PC.

How would I do a channel scan? and
What application would one use?

Thanks

How would i use Netstumbler through my routers Wireless?

In the router's web GUI, go to Config --> LAN --> Wireless
Next to the channel being used will be "Scan Channels"
Click on that and it will do a channel scan.

I am not familiar with the router, but some routers I have encountered have client mode, and this enables you to use it as a WiFi card, but as I mentioned not sure if it can do it, also my smc at home has a bridge function think it is called WBS or some other 3 letter abbreviation, it allows me to scan for AP's.

If it is WDS you are referring to that stands for Wireless Distribution Systems and does not refer to a bridge but rather the repeating of the signal from one wireless router to another.
