Wibtek Motherboards?

I have to build a few PCs for our company soon. I have an account with Esquire and usually get all my bits and pieces from them. I noticed they recently started stocking Wibtek boards.
Are these decent? I have used their Asus and Foxconn boards which are working flawlessly. Is Wibtek any good?
 
I've seen these in the news recently. They look like Foxconn rebrands but on closer inspection are actually the company's own designs. If you compare them to the Foxconn and Gigabyte designs, they actually come in pretty much the middle in terms of specs and build quality. And remember, the Chinese are actually making some damn good in-house products, so if its cheaper it might be worth picking up.

Edit: Ooooooh, they have a Z75 board! Now that is interesting, especially considering Intel never wanted to release the Z75 chipset for fear of flooding the market with too many options.

Haven't heard of them, IMO I would stick to well known brands for various reasons.

I know they might be the underdog and might be cheaper...but would you take the risk of it blowing a part in your system.

C'mon pay a little bit extra and you know what you buying.
 
Unfortunately it seems like due to the Rand/Dollar the price increased quite a lot on the Wibtek B75-M motherboard:
Up from R499 to R599 (ex VAT). It is still pretty darn cheap compared to all the other Ivy Bridge motherboards available in SA!

The Wibtek brand is coming to the international motherboard scene extremely aggressive and will become a huge player with the projection and roadmap we have seen from them over the next two years. Wibtek’s R&D team and manufacturing plant designs and manufactures some of the world leading motherboards in their factory.

We brought in these motherboards as a budget alternative but have been amazed at the quality of workmanship that has gone into these boards and have already sold over 500 motherboards since we launched it two months ago and only had one issue so far with a memory module that we do not supply , if you assemble using this motherboard with Kingston memory , I assure you will find nothing wrong with the board’s performance for the price.

Wibtek has a Z75 board on their website. Z75, as far as I'm aware, was a planned chipset for business-orientated boards but was shelved because B75 is more or less all you'll ever need, with high-end workstations simply moving to X79. It could be the same as Intel's shelved design or, more likely, a modified version of the B75 chipset with a custom BIOS to allow for multiplier overclocking - the same way some AMD board partners produced a better 785G chipset from the stock 780G chipset, or a few A55 boards sporting a modified version of the A75 chipset for socket FM1.

Esquire, I'm sure the NAG tech staff would be interested in these newcomers. Why don't you get your Joburg offices to contact them?
 
Shot guys. These are going to be basic PCs, probably with a G630 CPU + 2GB RAM. I think I'm gonna try these boards out.

Some feed back would be appreciated as i am done with buying high end MOBOs and will upgrade soon.

If the mobo has decent specs I might swap out from the Asus boards. Cause I need to upgrade as I have not done so in 3 years
 
I have assembled a couple of machines with the Wibtek H61 motherboards but found that that the mouse PS2 port does not work. Only a USB mouse works when plugged into a USB port. I sent two e-mails to Wibtek raising the issue but to date the company has not responded. On my part, I will not be using these motherboards again. I think it's best to stick to tried and tested brand names.

I see Esquire hasn't had any stock of the Wibtek boards for a while (and looking at their online store it seems only Midrand still keeps ANY motherboards). Wonder why :erm:
Ended up using MSI boards.

Greetings from a sunny and beautiful island of Phuket Thailand, the reason your don’t see any Wibtek boards is that we decided to rather consolidate our products and focus on Asus and Intel (until they stop making them), we will be adding one more motherboard brand during the year when the Intel production runs out and when the new socket is launched

EDIT it is 2:03 am now I meant sunny during the day ;)

Can't you add Gigabyte & ASRock to your lineup?
