Widening The Web

Spot on Sneeky.

It should be up to the individual if they want internet or not. Cost should not be a factor.

How about MTN dropping their telephony charges first?
Wouldn't cheaper voice calls be more beneficial on the whole than cheap Internet access?
Just how cheap do they plan to make it? It'll have to be under R100/month to be affordable for the masses and the hardware better not cost more than a couple of hundred bucks either.
And then there's the problem of the masses not being able to afford computers ...

I'm not against their ideas but their priorities seem to be a bit weird. Screw the public with expensive voice calls and then hand them cheap Internet access?
