I'm not sure i'm at the right place but here goes

Dum question but valid i believe...i have a 300mbps tplink wifi router...its in the bedroom, if i connect in the bedroom with a pc i am connecting at 150mbps??? Why not 300mbps? I see this by doing a STATUS on the wifi link...

Now i have a tp link access point at the front of the house, depending on what country i select i get better connection. if i make the access point UNITED STATES - i get connect at 150mbps (it is a 150mbps access point), but if i change the country to SOUTH AFRICA, the most i get is 72mbps???

thanks

Do you consistently get 150mbps when set to the USA? What is the actual speed when set to the US?

Or let me re phrase that, how is the browsing and general speeds when you doing certain things?

The browsing is fine - this is not WAN based this is LAN based, my internal lan...

Im just trying to understand - they sell a 300mbps router - pc connects at 150 and not 300 when i'm sitting in same room as the router?

That's all i want to know??

Cheers

It seems the card in your PC is only a 150mbps connection speed card.
