Hi guys
I am looking to buy a WIFI router that is capable of hosting 50 or more connections? is there anything out there?
Thanks,
Matt
41 clients now....
476days uptime?
Fukk man, reboot that poor AP.
No wonder it bombs out at 45 clients. No need, it's not your average home crap AP that needs a reboot every week or month, these don't need a reboot... ever, only reason why they ever do reboot is if the switches that powers them gets rebooted or if they get a software upgrade. We have been renovating departments so switches got moved, so AP's got rebooted

What AP's are those, if I may ask?
Thread is about users, but AP's. BTW, it is much cheaper from comptetitors and software is free. They are Cisco AIR-CAP1702I-E-K9 AP's, few years old already (only does AC up to 867Mb)
Will be replacing with wave 2 capable AP's soon
50 AP's plus two Cisco controllers plus Cisco ACS software cost over R500 000 so not cheap lol

Re: Limit maximum users per AP. UniFi APs have a max hard limit of 127 clients per band. That cannot be changed to make APs accept more users. Using the 'load balance' option you can have this limit to a lower number, thus defining your own hard limit.Aug 21, 2014
What about Cisco -- CLEAN-AIR ?The problem being in the CBD is interference, only picking up 600+ other AP's in the area...

You can use hi-end Cisco AP's as wireless spectrum analysers
Did you do an initial site inspection and wireless location analysis ?Yes that's setup as well, does help a lot. Mostly people in the office with Bluetooth enabled devices that is causing the most interference, and 2nd is microwave oven's lol
