i got the router from afrihost, on the 5GmbsHZ line near the router i get the full 200. But when i am downstairs using the TP Link Deco i also only get about 40. The same 40 that i got when line was only 100mbs. I can see i am connected to the 5ghz on the deco. Not the 2.4.Get the router from Afrihost - only pay R250 for delivery and it does 5Ghz.
Question 2: Do your devices support 5Ghz WiFi?
Question 3: Have you tested with a cable between your PC and the router to confirm it's not an issue with the service?
unfortunatelly not, wifi connections. How are your WiFi points connected? Is there a cable between the two?

did it make a big difference in terms of line speed?.having more WiFi AP active will clog up the bandwidth used for the mesh backhaul. I have a similar setup and turned the D-link's wifi off

I get 100mb on 2.4ghz. I don't use 5 because it doesn't travel well. I've actually disabled 5ghz.i got the router from afrihost, on the 5GmbsHZ line near the router i get the full 200.
