Hello

So I have a 100mb line with Afrihost, however, my wifi speed is only around 32mb. Is there anyway I could improve it to get it closer to the 100mb mark?

Do I need to get a new router etc.

Thanks

Specific details regarding current router and network would be a good starting point to get some answers as well as posting in the correct forum.

Get the router from Afrihost - only pay R250 for delivery and it does 5Ghz.
Question 2: Do your devices support 5Ghz WiFi?
Question 3: Have you tested with a cable between your PC and the router to confirm it's not an issue with the service?
i got the router from afrihost, on the 5GmbsHZ line near the router i get the full 200. But when i am downstairs using the TP Link Deco i also only get about 40. The same 40 that i got when line was only 100mbs. I can see i am connected to the 5ghz on the deco. Not the 2.4.

My limits with WiFi
on 5Ghz:
Down: 179.21 to 221.95Mbps
Up: 96.94Mbps

on 2.4Ghz
Down: 66.45Mbps
Up: 91.32Mbps

Make sure your WiFi and device supports 5Ghz

ok coool. Will look into that if WFH stays forever. 40 works for me now, if i got something big to download i just take it to room where router is. Doesn't happen often.

having more WiFi AP active will clog up the bandwidth used for the mesh backhaul. I have a similar setup and turned the D-link's wifi off
did it make a big difference in terms of line speed?.

I get 100mb on 2.4ghz. I don't use 5 because it doesn't travel well. I've actually disabled 5ghz.
