my wii remote is acting up. i checked on the wii website and it's not something i can resolve by resetting or DIY. Where can i take it for repairs?

no guarantee/warrantee :(

nintendo has some of the best support.. we had the same problem.. call the toll free number on www.nintendo.co.za. They based in sandton and swapped both our faulty remotes out.. no questions, no charge :) AWESOME!

Was that out of warrentee?

Sorry a bit off subject just got a wii myself what are some cool games to get for it

i bought it in the UK, so i think my warrantee wouldnt apply here.
He told me that if the console was faulty i might have had an issue.
But my other remote was fine, so the problem was definitely with the remote.

I beg to differ. Have a faulty remote and just phoned their support. Was told that they only repair faulty units under warrantee (one year). I'm in Cape Town and my only option is then to send it to them, get it repaired and have it sent back. The advice from the guy at Nintendo in Joburg was that it would probably cost the same if not more to have the unit couriered up, fixed and couriered down and that I would probably be better off buying a new remote.
I don't call that good customer service at all, however I do appreciate his honesty as I had a feeling that was what he would say.

must say my experience was super ... walked in, handed him the remote, he tested, saw it was faulty, and then just gave me another one on the spot.
5 minutes from the time i jumped off my car til the time i jumped back in.
Full marks to Nintendo from em.

That may have been the case in 2010, but not now. They said if it's not within warrantee (1 year) then you pay.
