WikiLeaks blocked by Chinese firewall

Links to the WikiLeaks website were blocked within China on Wednesday amid potentially embarrassing claims made in leaked U.S. diplomatic cables posted to the site.

Yes, because a firewall will prevent all of this from coming out

It's time China gets a damn clue.

The Americans are the ones we really need to worry about. Seeing ICANN is American, they can just shut down any domain they feel Elke, and they do. Here's a list of 82 sites whose domain names were seized by the US recently without a trial. Guilty until proven innocent? What really scares me is these sites aren't even based in the US, yet they have the power to shut them down without due legal process (Malema must be green with envy ;) ). This sets a very dangerous precedent :(

they tried to block it's more of a slight inconvenience for most users. but how do they take it over when it's hosted outside of usa?
