Wikipedia tightens rules

It is about time. The Telkom and Vodacom pages are a disgrace. People with their own agenda's have clearly written them. The Skype page is also pretty abysmal

I think the Telkom and Vodacom's pages contain the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I do agree that some limits against slander must be implemented, but the strength of wikipedia is that absolutely anyone may contribute and/or edit its contents in an effort to ensure free and proper information sharing. It is up to you whether you believe or disbelieve the content's page and if you really feel so passionate about so-called inaccuracies, there is nothing in the world that stops you from editting the contents of a page. There is nothing as well from stopping somebody else from removing your edits if they disagree with you.

Wikipedia rules

If someone removed his edits it would make his edits to the page pointless and a waste of time. Sounds stupid.

It's good that they're tightening down on it.

<thought> someone should write a page that continuously updates the telkom section on Wikipedia to something more truthful. So if someone updates the page, it get reset again automatically</thought>

Great thought. Who volunteers to write the Telkom default page entry in wikipedia?
