if telkom is involded, then noways in hell. maybe (very small one) there is hope?

Please stop all these empty promises articles. We all know by now that ICASA and Government is corrupt. Please write more articles on the alternatives, like internet over power lines. What happened to that company? When will they be in Cape Town?

Short answer, no. Core problem: 'Still no free market'. And I doubt Neotel's retail services will get up to speed before 2008 - besides, they have every intention to avoid competing on price anyway. It's nice to dream, but exactly where is this magical deus ex machina going to come from that will improve the situation? It's just not possible.
