Will a Dynamic DNS improve my gaming?

Is it possible to configure a setting on router to get NAT 1 on my ps4?

The different NAT's only shows how youre PS4 is connected to the internet, NAT 1 is wireless ( wifi ) and NAT 2 is wired ( via the ethernet cable ). When youre NAT type says open that means you are open to be selected as a host ingame. If youre NAT type is strict, well then theres something wrong. Usually when you are connected on 3G the NAT type would be strict, guess that just means that you're connection isn't that good.

That's how i understand it. Could be wrong though.

Also the shorter your cables the faster the data travels, recrimp all your network cables to about 1 cm, power cables can be shortened as well, power gets to the device faster. Oh yeah don't forget the telephone cable, if you can move all your kit outside as close to the telkom junction box connecting your house that can drop a few ms off.

your thinking with Dynamic DNS is spot on :D

My local ping is 7ms I don't think it can get much better? But my EU ping is 217ms. On a full GTA V online public session I get lag. I have zero packet loss though.

Try and get into a local one? Could also be the person who is hosting it having a crappy pc/bad connection.

Yep, anyway just did some research apparently the Rockstar servers aren't stable and other people are experiencing this aswell. On my router I have an option to enter dmz host and enable it.

You think it will help my connection on my ps4?

It won't make a difference unless you are hosting.

Enable DMZ and point it to your PC. It'll dramatically help your gaming as all those nasty bots and malicious people will attack your PC instead of your PS4. It may half your EU latency and let those packets exceed the speed of light (as my fellow forumites have highlighted above)

But as I already said the best way to improve your gaming is making sure the cable is at a 66.6 degree angle relative to the horizon with your device on the lower end of the cable.

If you require assistance feel free to PM me, my rate is R250/minute (minimum of 60 minutes payment) and I accept credit cards.

There is a option to enter dmz host, what do I put in that section before I tick enable? Do I put my router ip in that box?

yes. also put in ipv6 and wireless. and wrap your wireless antennae in tinfoil. both on your router and pc. your pc will automatically detect it and use both including your wired connection to speed up your games, boosting your ram clock speed and quantumfying your GPU.

I've achieved pings of 2ms to london from Beaufort-West like this whilst increasing my FPS 39 fold (a whopping 1100 FPS!)

??????? O ... M ... G

No, put your PC's address in there and then post the IP here.
