I'm currently on NAT 2 on my PS4 will NAT 1 make any difference?

No.

NAT1 = Using a modem or direct PPPoE.

NAT2 = A perfectly normal connection with a router.

The different NAT's only shows how youre PS4 is connected to the internet, NAT 1 is wireless ( wifi ) and NAT 2 is wired ( via the ethernet cable ). When youre NAT type says open that means you are open to be selected as a host ingame. If youre NAT type is strict, well then theres something wrong. Usually when you are connected on 3G the NAT type would be strict, guess that just means that you're connection isn't that good.
