Will an E2180 bottleneck an HD5770

that mothereboard needs to go
even cheap R700 board would allow you to overclock to 3.3Ghz or so and then you can start using that VGA card better
E2180 is just too slow
 
On some CPU heavy games yes, even with OC. e.g. SupCom Forged Alliance. It will still be playable, just as you say a bit bottlenecked.

I wouldn't stress about it though. Very few games are CPU* heavy like that.

*More specifically CPU+RAM architecture
