Will factory reset remove Lollipop update from LG G3?

Hi everyone

My girlfriend has the LG G3 (Awesome phone), and recently updated her OS to Lollipop when the phone started prompting her to do so.

Ever since the update though, the phone hasn't been as good as it used to, except for the fact that she keeps on getting 'Home has stopped working' errors with the default launcher, the phone's battery is also not lasting as long as it used to.

I thought that the easiest solution would be to just backup her phone, do a factory reset, and restore the backup. What I'm not 100% sure of, is whether doing a factory reset will also uninstall the latest Lollipop update that she has downloaded, as that is the main reason I want to do the reset.

TL: DR - Will a factory reset also remove the latest OTA update downloaded?

No it won't. You should usually format your phone after an update.

Check if there isn't another update available? Also, remove any installed apps (some could be incompatible with L) and update the rooted ones via the playstore.

I've updated all the apps and if it continues to give problems il do a format. Didn't know you were supposed to format after an update, thanks

Short answer is no. Revert back if you have to have that trusted combination. Upgrading isn't always the best thing.

I've never done a format. Just wait 6 months before you upgrade. By that time the apps will be fixed.
