Will I be able to run Battlefield 3?

Actually according to this article Battlefield 3 doesn't really care much about your CPU:
It didn't matter whether the CPU was running at 3.2GHz, 3GHz or even 2GHz; our benchmarks returned the same results. Even when we dropped the CPU down from four cores to only two, the in-game frame rates proved annoyingly stubborn. While BF3 will load itself across all four CPU cores when presented with a quad-core CPU, it seems to have little benefit when it comes to performance, running just as well with much lower clock speeds, or on a dual-core CPU.

Regarding your GPU, the minimum requirements for BF3 is Radeon HD 4650/GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB which both score about 520 on PassMark's Videocard benchmark, while the GTS250M scores 665.

Based on this I think it should be able to play BF3 on low graphics settings.

Is there a reason you want a laptop to play bf 3? You could get a fairly good system for roughly 5k possibly 6k. Bf 3 is not heavy on the cpu so a cheap quadcore should do the trick but without a doubt look at a desktop, you also have more scope to upgrade should you want better a vga.

Just as a matter of interest would you be playing online because bf 3 is much harder on vga when you in multiplayer, i cannot imagine playing online with 30 FPS.

I'm actually only using BF3 as a reference to other games because it has high system requirements.

Also...

I'm looking at going to rAge 2012 for the NAG LAN. I want to take that laptop with.
