IIRC, Lync and Skype interconnectivity is now 100% supported since December. To compare these services people need to look on a global perspective.

Skype VoIP is intergrated into our MSP backend and PBX, including the chat functionality etc. As a additional communication medium it is superb, though we use Hangouts through integration with partners utilising Google Apps. But Skype/Lync is a marvel on it's own.

Yeah... that graph is carefully marked "Social Login Preferences" and it has a "g" logo, not "g+" ... that's number of google SERVICES users vs facebook users.

G+ might be live and well (just because company A is winning doesn't mean everyone has lost), but with Google having shifted focus away from it internally, it's telling that it's not working out as planned.
