But the ANC has 66.00% of the vote and falling. So its looking unlikely. Counting is almost done, they're doing final auditing.
 
I think it was probably cause there are already threads on the same subject, they probably merged it with another one.
 
First its posted in the wrong section... The elections has its own section (Check top of Current Affairs Forum) And in the sub-forum for the elections there is already a debate about this...

Because then they can change the constitution as they like, not saying the will, but they CAN, like with the Scorpions...

Also the ANC set themselves this mark even pushing it up to 70%, so it is a yardstick for us to see just how succesfull they really are...

We knew they would win, just not how far, they wanted 2/3 so them not getting them is a small victory for people that didnt vote ANC...
 
Hey bud, your tread got deleted because this is a highly censored forum. You should know that by now. It has to be like that because of the social structure of SA. After all, you don't want the forum to be closed and the owners to be charged (Malema styl), do you?
And yes, a 2/3 majority is very important,especially for SA's baby democracy. Actually a 2/3 majority is a 'special case' in any democracy. Democratic countrys with 2/3 majority, border on dictatorship !

dude, there was nothing wrong with my thread, i was just asking a question, not making any statements.....and besides it did not offend anyone as it wasnt siding with any other party, all i was saying is will they get it? and im sure there are more politically harsher threads in here than this 1 lol.

There was quite a bit of trolling and baiting in the thread, not much substance. I imagine that's why it got deleted.
 
The ruling party took 66.03% of the national vote but the Independent Electoral Commission has said that after counting nearly 18 million votes it would make a formal announcement at the IEC National Results Centre in Pretoria at 5pm on Saturday.
