I bought some ram at a shop in Durban, I asked for DDR3 1333 and instead they gave me DDR3 1033. On the slip it says DDR3 1333 but I checked my bios and it isn't. That was also the only ram they had left.

They should if they gave you the wrong ram. You were invoiced for 1333Mhz and that is what you should receive. Take it back.

Tell us more about the RAM. Make, anything written on lables or the chips themselves.

What does the chip say? Check the actual chip and not your bios, the bios settings may not be correct.

Should say on the memory.

I just checked on the chip, turns out the chips say f*kall about the ram, the frequency, timings etc. They didn't even give me the make they quoted me on the phone, this looks like some fong kong ****.

The chips won't. Just copy here exactly what is written on the chips, line for line or else post a digital pick of the DIMM.

What I meant was if CPU-Z will tell you what clock cycle does the modules support upto, if it's 1066 only, it won't show the options for 1333.

Cpu-z only shows me the size of the modules. All other fields are blank.

some times you need to config the ram specs in the bios. My ram is ddr2 1066 (apogee gt http://www.chaintech.com.tw/a2111_product_spec.php?serno=383) but when i put it into the PC it will only clock in at 800. CPUz reports it as pc2 6400 instead of pc2 8500. So I had to set my timings to 5-5-5-15 and up the voltages (I also overclock my cpu so had to change the memory multiplier too).

Check under the spd tab of cpu-z not the memory tab. It should list what speeds the module supports, under the timings table.
