Why is it worse pic ever. ? Mmhm ! He actually gave all the information needed, more importantly he gave the model number of the speakers, why is that less important than seeing the speakers, would you be able to tell him whether it works or not based on what it looks like.

If the outputs and inputs of the DVD player match the speakers it shouldn't be any sort of problem, DVD players doesn't have an amp high enough to even remotely be able to blow the average sound system ;)

^^That, depends on the input on the DVD player and the input from the speakers. Some use plugs and others have exposed wire point, if these inputs match it should work just fine
 
Thanks, I dont see any reason why it should not work, but just wanted to ask and find out what people thought on here.

Some advice, if the speaker wires do have exposed points do yourself a favor and solder the wire points.
This will keep them from fraying and pieces braking off over time.

They are exposed. Thanks for the tip(pardon the pun), will keep it in mind.

You should not actually tin wires used in clamp connections, makes the wire brittle and more prone to breaking.

Twist the strands and then insert, all it needs,

Was told the same. But still do it.
Depends on the clamp, if it is something that is hard clamp and frequently removed and replaces yes, but with things like plugs and the above it is not an issue and helps. Unless the OP is a touring musician or prolific mover it will not be a problem.
It all comes down to metal fatigue.
 
Normally those "5.1" DVD sets have the amps built into the dvd player, where the normal dvd player just passes the signal through to an amplified source of sorts, whats' the subwoofer? Does it have a power source?

You're assuming that he has a all in one HT system while he said dvd player.

Normally when someone says DVD player and speakers it's probably one of those HT Systems :-). But I did assume.
