The words "William Shatner" bring back childhood memories of his voice on "Rescue 911".
It was one of the few shows on TV that we were allowed to watch from a young age, and it instilled a healthy respect for not doing stupid things and appreciating the fragility of life. Also, a love of his voice. His and Riaan Cruywagen's voices. Ahh.
I remember distinctly one episode where a little kid literally "ran" their sibling through with a kitchen knife. I remember Shatner expousing the virtues of not running with a knife, or scissors, especially not pointing forward.
8 year old me has since never run with scissors and when I carry a knife it is always point down, sharp edge inwards.
Thank you, William Shatner.
