"The problem, as the firm sees it, is that the equipment costs of WiMAX will compete with those of more advanced 3- and 4G wireless systems, providing similar bandwidth by 2010. At that point, the two technologies will compete on price alone, with Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) costs closing in on under $100 by 2010."
