Hmmm I'm watching but it still does not sell tennis to me as an amazing game....

Serve, win game, serve, win game, repeat, repeat, repeat.... people will say it was an amazing, epic match but why? Just because it went on for so long...

this really wasnt an epic game, the best i've seen was nadal vs verdasco at the aussie open, breathless.

he wins! :D

Wow, what a long match, by no means an epic.

Federer some how manage to win despite his ground strokes being well below normal today.

The poor quality of the surface played a large role in it being all about the serve.
The court was worn out in a lot of places.

I see Federer is ranked no. 1 in the world again.

Great that he won. Unfortunately I feel his time is slowly but surely starting to come :(

Maybe his time is coming but then again at least he can retire and say he beat Pete Sampras' record of 14 titles :) Congrats again Federer and what a game
And great game from Roddick too hey

Poor Roddick. At the end there all he could do was serve . In those last 6 or so games he barely won( if any) points other than those directly resulting from his serve. :erm:

I assume this is a well known fact but worth repeating

Federer was born August 8, 1981 in Basel, Switzerland in the small city of Binningen, to Robert Federer and Lynette Federer. He grew up 10 minutes from Basel proper, in suburban Münchenstein.

His parents met while his father was on a business trip to South Africa for a Basel-based chemical company for which they both worked. Lynette was born and raised in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa. Her maiden name was Durand

Goran Ivanisivic lost 3 finals before he won, so Roddick still has a chance.

Anyway, he gets to shag a better looking chick than Federer has.

Goran's final was the most emotional one of them all.
+1 for Roddick's wife!

Goran won it after getting in on a wild card entry IIRC

The bit I liked was during Federers interview on court after the match , offering his praise to Roddick for his performace he said he had had bad days on court to which Roddick shouted fron 15 yards "you've won 5 already !" Nice one Roddick. Federer can play tennis but he sure as hell cannot communicate.

considering the fact that Roger can speak 5 languages I wouldn't say his English is bad!
