I know it's a little early, but Wimbledon starts on June 25th. That's just over a week from now. Gonna be awesome! I will update the thread with the matches when they are available. Who's your money on? I think Djokovic will take it. Nadal just lost against Kohlschreiber on a grass court tournament in Germany called Gerry Weber Open/Halle (ATP 250). I think Djokovic will be unstoppable on grass.

Hopefully Andy Murray. Always had a soft spot for him.

Andy Murray has to be one of the players I dislike most on the men's tour.

He has those temper tantrums all the time...and even though he's world #4, he's far away from the class and panache of Federer (even in his "old age), Nadal and Djokovic. I sometimes get the feeling that he feels he "deserves" a Grand Slam after so many years of trying. That's not how it works.

Also the British press always hype him up every Wimbledon... :D

Absolutely agree.

They did the same thing with Henman :D

Well I have a pretty silly reason for supporting Murray. The first time I saw him play, he was wearing a pair of shorts that were remarkably similar to the pair I was wearing at the time. Guess I felt a bit of a connection. :o

Revokes man card

Would you like to expand on what type of connection you felt when seeing Murrary? :D

Was it, to steal a thread title from the Android section, a sensation in your pants? :p

:D
.. and I. Arrogant SOB.
Actually the main reason I can't support him is that Sky News reports only on Murray, and ignores everyone else in terms of balanced reporting. Mind you, Sky News is s-o-o-o Pom-centric anyway.

Gotta be Djokovic, think he'd want revenge for losing the French, which would mean a 6th consecutive grand slam final meeting with Nadal...some sort of record, no?

On the ladies side, things are a tad more unpredictable, hopefully Sharapova...surely she got the best pair of legs on the tour right now? :p

Indeed.

Really hope Sharapova wins here again

I really have to respect her for not ending up like Anna Kournikova. Sharapova could have easily lost focus and become a full-time model. Also, she has fought her way back from injury which nearly ended her career. IIRC, her ranking dropped to somewhere in the hundreds and now she is world number 1.

I find myself agreeing with you again :p

I would love that but he is not the Fed that he used to be.

Very true unfortunately. I'm very worried about him at the moment to be honest. He fell by the wayside quickly against Novak in the Rolland Garos semi's and even though he was 3-0 up in the 2nd set he still somehow managed to lose the set?!. He later on admitted there was a niggle with his hip which was causing him some discomfort so only he knows what was really going on there.

He was playing well in Halle but apparently he tanked badly against Haas in the final...VERY badly. His shot selections were terrible and his UE stats were through the roof, almost uncanny. Some are even suggesting that Fed gifted Haas the match as they are good mates and because the title meant so much more to Haas considering the ups and downs he's had in his career.

Fed's trusty forehand and 1st serve are also letting him down when it matters most so at this point I'd be surprised to see him reach the semi's at Wimbledon. He's more than likely going to face either Nadal or Novak to have a shot at the title but he's going to have to pull of something incredible to beat either of them. I doubt he still has the psychological edge and raw stamina to beat them but I'd love to be proven wrong.
