i love it when they get that specific shot of the player that just seem to say it all.
what always intrigues me is the doubles. whatever do they say behind their hands, especially the women. it's almost as if they tittle tattles lol.

It works like this - you have to defend your points on a year-to-year basis. Tsonga made the semi final last year, so if he doesn't reach the semi final again this year, he loses points but if he made the final, he would have gained points. He lost some points probably because Ferrer went further in the tournament, as compared to last year (I'm guessing). That's why it's crucial that if you win majors, you win them again, else you lose close to 1200 points. That's why Nadal and Djokovic lost a lot and Roger gained.
