No, not that. He always pulls out of Davis Cup fixtures, for example here is a quote from JL de Jager:

whoever wins this match won't win the next round. this match is too long and hard on the person who wins. both of them already showing huge signs of fatigue. this is not normal usually a match goes about 3 hours or so.
