You can download the relevant .iso from microsoft and run it afterwards.

For inline update, just make sure that you get the right 32 / 64 bit / Pro / 2 L version. Check your in control panel / system

You have to install a specific update which checks if your installation is eligible for the upgrade. If that update has been installed and you don't get the upgrade offer you are not eligible. In some cases even if you do get the offer like with VLK licenses you might get the offer but afterwards Windows 10 won't activate.

Why? More info is needed... Using Windows 7 at work is torture. Cannot wait till October then I can upgrade.

Agreed. Windows 10 works fine for me and does everything Windows 7/8.1 did and then some. I would also like to know what the reason/s was to downgrade to Windows 7.

10 was iffy after the upgrade. Reformatted and installed it again - works like a charm.

Don't forget to use the "Upgrade this PC now option" in the media creation tool before clean installing.
