win 7 and fire fox

Got to this friends house.
All the icon s were adobe icons.
Uninstall adobe.
Then install firefox.
Wanted to add add ons, but it say some certificate is wrong.
what can I do.

a pet peeve of mine is when people use the word adobe to mean something else.
adobe is like microsoft, they are a company, not a software product.

is Java installed? If it is not installed then install it. If it is installed then update it.
