Hi. Can you connect a PC running Windows 98 SE via a birdged ADSL connection to the internet (telkomsa) I have tried everything and looked everywhere for a software solution - none found. Can connect fine when not bridged. Can somebody assist.
Griffy:confused:

Is there any particular reason that you're using a 10 year old version of Windows? I don't think anyone still develops software for it...

depending on your modem of course, but for Win98 you need PPPoe software to create a dial up (bridged connection). usually some of the older modems came with software for that. why you using 98 neway? died out with the dinosaurs

Also, Win98se doesn't have a proper firewall, and you'll have to install one first before proceeding...

...otherwise your PC'll be taken over by bots in 5 minutes flat...

Rather go over to OpenSuSE or WinXP...
